About
A pantomime retelling of Cinderella at the Lyric Hammersmith, a cheeky and chaotic version of the fairy tale filled with show-stopping songs, hilarious comedy and plenty of twists. Written by Joel Horwood, who returns to the Lyric panto after his Aladdin in 2016, and directed by Robin Belfield, it sees the orphaned Cinderella forced to work as a servant by her evil step-family until a fairy godmother and a secret visit to a royal ball may change her fortunes. A talented cast brings the classic rags-to-riches story of true love and making wishes come true to life, though as a panto nothing goes exactly as you'd expect. A festive treat for the whole family, running about two hours including an interval, suitable for ages 6 and up.
