Coltrane 100: Joe Lovano, Melissa Aldana, Nduduzo Makhathini, Linda May Han Oh, Jeff "Tain" Watts

Coltrane 100 is a concert tribute marking the centennial of the birth of iconic saxophonist John Coltrane, under the title 'Both Directions at Once'. It brings together saxophonists Joe Lovano and Melissa Aldana, pianist Nduduzo Makhathini, bassist Linda May Han Oh, and drummer Jeff "Tain" Watts for a collective reflection on Coltrane's enduring influence across generations, geographies, and musical traditions. Lovano describes the quintet as honoring Coltrane's compositions as a springboard to create in his spirit rather than recreate. The Coltrane 100 tour is produced with the approval of Jowcol Music LLC o/b/o Estate of John Coltrane.
