Creating Coastal Landscapes: Colour, Texture & Natural Materials
Royal Watercolour Society, Southwark
£125 / £115 Early Bird Discount
About
A hands-on workshop at the RWS Gallery exploring the colours, textures and natural materials of coastal landscapes. Artist Frances Hatch RWS leads participants through colour exercises and a limited palette, then shows how earths, chalks, clays and sands gathered from Dorset cliffs can become pigments and textures in paintings. From these prompts, attendees develop a coastal landscape inspired by memory, association and imagination rather than a reproduced view. The workshop suits those with some experience of water-based media.
