An online evening course introducing the colours of minerals and how they can be turned into artists' pigments and paints. Geologist and materials scientist Dr Ruth Siddall leads the session, covering earth pigments such as ochres, mineral pigments like malachite and azurite, and the practical processing of minerals into paints with various binders. It is part of the Geological Society's Night School and needs no previous knowledge.
