About
Dancing On My Own is a two-day exhibition of artist's film and video at Horse Hospital. Curated by Jasmine Ula as part of her MFA Curation at the NFTS, it explores the sometimes fragmented relationships between belonging, identity and memory. Shorts by Mark Leckey, Morgan Quaintance and Keith Piper play throughout the day, with evening screenings of feature-length films by Larry Achiampong on the Saturday and by Sarah Miles and Zarina Nares on the Sunday. Inspired by Stuart Hall's idea of identity as unfixed, it aims to create a space where these shifts can be experienced, individually and collectively.
