The Day of the Dead Family Festival is a family celebration of Día de Muertos held in the gardens of the Horniman Museum. It is presented in partnership with MexiBrit and transforms the museum into an immersive celebration of remembrance, community and Mexican culture inspired by Mexico City. Visitors can expect decorated festival spaces with papel picado, marigold pathways and ofrendas, an opening ceremony with Aztec dancers, live music and folkloric dance, plus mask-making, storytelling, face painting and a discovery trail for families.
