Death Note The Musical is a stage musical about a Tokyo high school student who finds a supernatural notebook that lets him kill anyone by writing their name in it. Based on the best-selling Japanese manga series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, it has a score by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Jack Murphy and a book by Ivan Menchell. Light Yagami takes justice into his own hands by filling the notebook with the names of the nation's most wanted criminals, but a detective known only as "L" is soon tracking him down. Following acclaimed productions in Japan and Korea, it receives its English language premiere in a semi-staged London concert production, directed by Nick Winston.
