About

Deep, Deep Waters is a work-in-progress solo drama about a working-class British man, son of immigrants, who has built his life on control and starts to crack. Written and performed by Güni Koçak and directed by James Haddrell, the intimate play follows him as career, family and love begin to strain and his belief that control is safety fractures. It is a funny, tense and quietly moving piece about masculinity, class, silence and the emotional cost of becoming the kind of person the world rewards. Voila! Theatre Festival and The Playground Theatre present it.
