About

"Some Woman" is a provocative new play at the Dorfman - National Theatre about an ordinary woman who takes a stand against a system determined to oppress her. It was written by Helen Edmundson and directed by Blanche McIntyre, with Anne-Marie Duff starring as Julie Robson, a woman constantly overlooked at work and at home. When an encounter on a station platform goes wrong and all eyes turn to Julie, something shifts and she feels compelled to make a stand. This world premiere is a thoughtful, demanding story about what it means to be overlooked and what happens when you refuse to remain quiet.
