About
"The Memory of Water" is a darkly comic family drama staged on the theatre's studio stage. It is presented by UCL Drama Society and written by Shelagh Stephenson. Three sisters return to their childhood home after their mother Vi's death, and as they prepare for her funeral, old memories, resentments and family secrets surface, often erupting into ridiculous spats. The play explores grief and its non-linear quality, with laughter and anger sitting moments apart.
