About
DiBrasspora is a collective of some of the UK's finest Klezmer brass and woodwind players who re-imagine traditional Klezmer and Moldovan melodies in a modern brass band context, with a strong focus on improvisation and inventive interpretation. The group draws inspiration and repertoire from the likes of German Goldenshteyn, Emil Kroitor and Konsonans Retro, and its members come from bands such as Don Kipper, Raka Balkan Band, Klezmer Foygl, Doikayt, Makam Salam and The Hop Skotshne Klezmer Band. The line-up features Daniel Gouly and Hannah Ochner on clarinet, Oliver Presman on trumpet, Mani Wells on alto saxophone, John Macnaughton on tenor saxophone, Adina Presman on tuba and Karen Yarnell on poik percussion. The night is part of the 2026 EFG London Jazz Festival.
