About
Mark Lasis Quintet play one set of music at the Vortex Jazz Club. London-based accordionist and composer Mark Lasis leads the quintet, with solly chappell on guitar, Artis Aleksejevs on drum kit, Alex Sibley on alto saxophone and Will Ewins on bass guitar. They perform original compositions inspired by the sounds of 70s fusion paired with Lasis's roots as a classical musician. Lasis, who studies at the Royal Academy of Music, aims to show the accordion's versatility in contemporary music.
