About

"Dominic Myatt: Scree Slope" is a solo exhibition of new and recent paintings on canvas at Gazelli Art House. The artist behind it is Dominic Myatt, born in 1993 in Leicester, a multidisciplinary artist inspired by visual fragments of everyday life and the energy of the city. His works show recognisable objects such as lamps, horses, hands and spoons as dark line drawings hovering over gestural patches of colour, riffing on the idea of animated cartoons. Full of playful humour alongside unease and threat, the paintings invite the viewer into a game of looking and deciphering.
