About
FORT is a new opera with music by Joy Ingle and words by Tabitha Hayward, adapted from Hayward's play of the same name. It is performed by The Music Troupe, a company founded in 2014 by composer Edward Lambert, and directed by Walter Hall. At 1am on an Iron Age hillfort in rural Dorset, fifteen-year-old best friends Viv and Daisy wait for a ghost at Fort, their escape at the edge of the future and the past. When the ghost turns up, the girls feel something start to shift.
