From Object to Art: Bandhani tie-dye craft workshop.

From Object to Art is a monthly craft club held in the learning space at the Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre, offering a welcoming space to relax, create and connect with others through making. This session is a hands-on textiles workshop led by artist Monique Kaur Kellay, introducing Bandhani, an intricate resist-dye technique with deep roots in South Asia. You'll pinch and tie fabric with thread before dyeing it to create patterns, developing your own unique design inspired by the textiles in the collections. All materials are provided, no experience is needed, and the workshops are suitable for ages 7 and above, with children under 16 accompanied by an adult.
