About
"Goldfish" is a play set in Alaska in 1899, during the dying days of the Klondike Gold Rush. Written by Nina Beck and directed by Guy McNair-Wilson, it is presented by Yawning Dog Productions Ltd. It follows the real-life conman Jefferson "Soapy" Smith, now a down-on-his-luck gangster caring for his desperately ill ten-year-old son William. When a girl is pulled alive from a river clutching a salmon that rumour says can talk, Soapy sees his ultimate gamble, while a scientist arriving to dissect the truth brings a ghost from his past.
