FOLD Collective: twelve women artists making art amid life.

"In Amongst" is a guest group exhibition by FOLD Art Collective, held at 155A Gallery. It explores the ways art is made in the midst of life — not only with expansive time alone in the studio, but on kitchen tables and amongst jobs, caring responsibilities, grief, illness, travel and the joys of everyday life. The show also reflects on the importance of connection and friendship in holding creative space when making is interrupted or wavering. FOLD Art Collective, formed in 2021 and made up of twelve mid-life women artists, meets monthly to critique and encourage work in progress and exists to give support, space and voice to artists often invisible in contemporary culture.
