About

Half Term Family Day – Beyond Bayeux Tapestry Now is a free family day of drop-in activities taking over Guildhall Art Gallery and London's Roman Amphitheatre. It accompanies the exhibition Beyond Bayeux: Tapestry Now, which celebrates tapestry as one of the world's oldest yet most vibrant and evolving art forms as the Bayeux Tapestry returns to the UK for the first time in almost 1,000 years. Visitors can join weaving with Christie Swallow and Dalia James, storytelling with Laura Sampson, and The Draw-Yer Tapestry drawing with Arkem Walton, plus a story corner and a quiet space. Suitable for children aged 3 to 13 and their families, with booking recommended but walk-ins welcome.
