About
'Hamlet Hail to the Thief' is a stage show that fuses theatre, music and movement, distilling Shakespeare's great tragedy with Radiohead's critically acclaimed album into a live experience. It is co-created by Thom Yorke and directors Steven Hoggett and Christine Jones, with Yorke reworking the band's sixth album into a deconstructed score performed by live musicians. Elsinore has a new ruler, and the show centres on Hamlet and Ophelia's awakening to the lies and corruption infecting their war-like state. Originally produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and Factory International, it runs at the Barbican for a strictly limited season.
