Look, Learn, Make: Papier-mâché Picasso with Katrina Cowling

Look, Learn, Make: Papier-mâché Picasso with Katrina Cowling is a two-part creative workshop combining art history, discussion and hands-on making, in which participants create their own papier-mâché vessel or sculptural object. Led by artist Katrina Cowling, it takes inspiration from Pablo Picasso's ceramics, exploring how vessels can become expressive artworks, and also looks at vessel-making by artists including Grayson Perry, Lindsey Mendick and Donald Locke. Participants experiment with painted mark-making, colour and gesture, and take home a painted piece, with the workshop suitable for beginners and those with creative experience. It runs over two sessions, on 5th and 12th November, and tickets cover both.
