A live concert by Los Palmeras, one of Argentina's most famous cumbia bands, playing their first London show, with special guest Sophie Oliver, presented by WB Live at the club and live music venue Scala. The band formed in Santa Fe, Argentina in 1968, playing local cumbia with a touch of chamamé, a traditional rhythm from the country's northeast, and took their name from their original singer Yuli Palmeras. Over more than five decades they have won over generations of cumbia lovers, releasing over 40 albums with hits such as 'El Bombón', 'Soy Sabalero', 'Así es que Vivo Yo' and 'Por Primera Vez'. An emblem of cumbia music in Argentina, this is a rare chance to see the legendary band live in the UK.
