About
A jazz vocal evening at the Toulouse Lautrec club, billed as a Black History Month celebration of three of the most influential Black women in jazz: Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan and Betty Carter. Vocalist Lulu Pierre joins pianist and musical director Alex Webb and his trio, singing from the three singers' song catalogues in Webb's arrangements, with expressive ballads, swing and a few personal favourites and surprises alongside the tribute.
