About
Martin Guerre is a musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, the creators of Les Misérables and Miss Saigon, staged at the Old Vic Theatre. It tells of a man who returns to his wife Bertrande and village in 16th century rural France after years away, only to be accused of being an imposter by the community. Based on a real historical mystery, this revival is directed by Old Vic Artistic Director Matthew Warchus. It features new lyrics, new folk-inflected orchestrations and an immersive in-the-round staging, with a running time of 1 hr 30 min and no interval.
