About

Comédie Française is a film comedy directed by Bertrand Usclat and Martin Darondeau, a chaotic love letter to the theatre. Producer Nina (Pauline Clément) has three hours before the premiere of her Macbeth retelling when her lead actor is stuck on a train, egos clash and equipment breaks down. With the golden rule that the play is never cancelled, she must hold things together at all costs. The farce, which won four awards at the Alpe d'Huez comedy film festival, features real members of the Comédie-Française company and gleefully pokes fun at the highbrow reputation of French theatre.
