New Encounters with Rotimi Fani-Kayode: Book Launch and Talk is an evening celebrating the launch of Autograph's new publication Rotimi Fani-Kayode: Tranquility of Communion, about the life and work of one of the most significant figures in the history of Black photography. The book brings together new research, previously unpublished photographs and never-before-shown drawings from the artist's student years, reflecting on a practice that expanded the terms of Black and queer self-representation. On the night, Autograph's Director Mark Sealy, co-editor of the book, will be joined by photographic artist Ajamu X, writer Evan Moffitt and scholar Kobena Mercer for presentations, an audience Q&A and a drinks reception.
