About

ETERNAL SUNSHINE is a selling display of thirteen new prints by Emmanuel Awuni, a graduate of the RA Schools, shown in the Sir Hugh Casson Room at the Royal Academy of Arts. His colourful, upbeat work engages with diasporic sounds such as hip-hop, jazz, reggae and Afrobeats. The prints respond to William Blake's poem The Little Black Boy from Songs of Innocence, using material from the RA's archive and library to illustrate the interior world of Blake's figure and give the room 'music, colour, life and rhythm'. The artworks on display are available for sale through the RA, with sales supporting the artist and the next generation of artists in the RA Schools.
