About

An open call for speakers for 'Whose Archive is it Anyway?', the first in a three-part series of events exploring the future of archives and archiving. The Photographers' Gallery invites submissions of real-life experiences, rather than academic papers, on what makes an archive, who decides what it consists of and who it is for. The call is open to all aged 18 or over, especially those working with archives outside traditional institutions, with selected speakers receiving a fee of £200. Proposals must be submitted by 1 November 2026 for the one-day hybrid event on 16 April 2027.
