About

A free drop-in craft session for all ages where visitors make poppies for Remembrance Sunday. It centres on Ian Willoughby Bazalgette VC, a local RAF pilot of the Second World War awarded the Victoria Cross for his bravery, and great-grandson of Sir Joseph Bazalgette, the engineer who transformed London with his revolutionary sewer system. Habitats & Heritage are restoring the Bazalgette family mausoleum at St Mary's Church, Wimbledon, helping preserve the family's local legacy.
