About

Free creative sessions exploring East End history through collage, photography, movement, singing, soundscapes and performance. They are facilitated by Tasnim Siddiqa Amin, a working-class Bangladeshi-British artist, theatremaker and activist from Poplar. Topics range from industrialisation, the dock strike and the match girls strike to the 1921 Poplar rates rebellion, London's first Chinatown, the closure of the docks and gentrification. Participants are invited to learn, explore and share their own stories.
