About

data-cosm [n°1] is a site-specific audio-visual installation by the Japanese composer and visual artist Ryoji Ikeda, commissioned by 180 Studios. It transforms vast datasets into an immersive environment, charting nature's data from the microscopic scale of particle physics to the macroscopic of astrophysics. Visitors lie down on the floor with cushions, looking up at a large LED screen on the ceiling while surrounded by Ikeda's soundscapes. The exhibition features intense lights, high-frequency sounds, and rapid video transitions which may cause strong sensory stimulation.
