About

An exhibition of painting, sculpture, printmaking, sound and film arranged as an installation responsive to the gallery's architecture. It is the work of Justin Caguiat, an interdisciplinary artist born in Tokyo whose art explores architecture, spirituality and the rituals embedded in everyday urban infrastructure. The show features a new series of thermochromic paintings that change with heat and light, alongside bronze bells cast in the shapes of flowers and plant seeds that ring in continually changing sequences to a score by Lily Pickett. Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Natalia Grabowska with Alexa Chow, it considers how buildings accumulate memory, ritual and acts of transformation.
