Sculpture inspired by life
Chiswick House
£300 for 10 weeks
About
A ten-week Wednesday evening course where you can learn to sculpt from life, at times with a live professional model. It is taught by Gillian Brett, a professional sculptor based at Chiswick House, whose public bronze sculpture of Fanny Wilkinson, the UK's first female landscape designer, was unveiled last year in Southfields and featured in The Guardian as well as BBC and ITV news. Suitable for absolute beginners and those with some experience, the small classes cover projects such as a portrait bust and a figurative sculpture, with tools, materials and equipment included. Classes take place in the Learning Hub at Chiswick House and are open to ages 16+.
