About
Creative Embroidery (Autumn) is a weekly embroidery class held on Mondays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the studio at the Landmark Arts Centre. It is taught by Sophie Long, an award-winning hand embroiderer, author and tutor with over 20 years' experience and a graduate of the Royal School of Needlework Apprenticeship, who worked on the lace appliqué for Catherine, Princess of Wales's wedding dress. The class is fun and relaxed, tailored to each individual regardless of skill level, letting participants develop new techniques, learn at their own pace and explore their creative ideas. No experience is required, hoops, scissors, fabrics and needles can be borrowed or purchased on the day, and the class runs in blocks of six weeks during the autumn term.
