About

Stile Antico brings 'Discord to Harmony: Renaissance music of war and peace' to Wigmore Hall, a choral concert lasting about two hours with an interval. The vocal ensemble Stile Antico performs works by composers from Dufay to Schütz exploring how music responded to Renaissance Europe's wars, alliances and peace treaties. The programme ranges from Janequin's battle chanson La guerre to laments for fallen cities and serene motets welcoming longed-for peace.
