THE FONTANAS - BRAZILIAN GROOVES AND SOUL
Oriole Bar, Slingsby Place 7-9, WC2E 9AB London, Covent Garden
£12 per person
About
The Fontanas bring Brazilian grooves and funky soul to the Oriole Bar as a trio line-up of Kay Elizabeth on vocals, Sam Sutton on guitar and vocals and Kaw Regis on keys. The musicians are from the top tier and have played along the likes of Incognito and Alice Russell. Their sound, heard on BBC6 airwaves and praised by BBC6M's Craig Charles, packs a vintage Daptone studio feel, and their recent live album was produced by Jon Moon of Amy Winehouse fame. Expect Latin fire and energy, drawing on influences from vintage soul to Latin and Brazilian grooves.
