About

"The Signalman" is a tense, intimate ghost story about isolation, guilt, and the things that wait for us in the dark. Written and directed by Dan Dawes from an original story by Charles Dickens, it is presented by Idle Discourse with support from Play GC Theatre. A young man, drunk and stranded after missing his last train, talks with the Signalman in a deserted underground station, where the boundary between coincidence, madness, and the supernatural begins to disappear. The production contains violence, graphic imagery, offensive language, adult themes, and discussion of suicide, and is advised for ages 16+.
