About
A live duo evening of New Orleans R&B and blues piano at the Nightjar bar on City Road. Veteran pianist Tim Penn, one of the most popular musicians on the London blues and roots scene, is joined by Chris Proctor, the guitarist from his band The Second Line. Their repertoire stretches from old Jelly Roll Morton classics to the 50s/60s New Orleans R&B of Fats Domino and Professor Longhair, mixed with blues, gospel, soul jazz and Tim's own compositions. In seven years playing together as a duo, they have developed an understanding of each other's music-making that delights and excites their audience.
