Vinyl Requiem 33.3: Philip Jeck & Lol Sargent
Union Chapel, Compton Terrace, N1 2XD London
£18
About
An evening at Union Chapel marking 33.3 years since Vinyl Requiem, a work for 180 Dansette record players created by Philip Jeck and Lol Sargent, first performed there in 1993. The Philip Jeck Foundation and Union Chapel present a full-scale projection of the 55-minute film of the original performance, followed by a Q&A with Ghislaine Boddington, Mary Prestidge, Lol Sargent and Jon Wozencroft. The night also launches Touch's limited-edition double-vinyl edition of Vinyl Requiem, and all profits go to The Philip Jeck Foundation, which supports artists working in experimental and creative arts.
