Your Name
About
A screening of the animated film 'Your Name' at Rio Cinema in Dalston. The story follows Mitsuha and Taki, strangers living very different lives who become strangely connected after Mitsuha wishes to leave her mountain town for Tokyo: she dreams she is a boy in the city while Taki dreams he is a girl from a rural town he has never visited. It is the latest film from the acclaimed auteur Makoto Shinkai, and it asks what their newfound connection means and how it will bring them together.

Critics
8.4Very good
Critics praise the breathtaking, exquisite animation, the moving emotional power and a smart, sensitive story that transcends the body-swap premise. Some find the comedic stretches drag or the humour juvenile, but most call the film an utter triumph.
