Adult Supervision

An evening with a screening of the black comedy Adult Supervision, followed by a film talk and Q&A. Director Alex Shulman presents the thought-provoking film, Sweden's official entry for Best International Feature Film at the 99th Academy Awards. It follows anxiety-ridden father Bill (Gustaf Skarsgard), who volunteers to chaperone his daughter and her school friends on a rowdy field trip to a remote island to repair their icy relationship, joined by fellow fathers Bobo (Fares Fares) and Pontus (Linus Wahlgren). As tensions escalate and buried memories resurface, games turn into power struggles — and power into violence — until no one can tell who is in charge and who is in danger.
