About
"Blue Heron" is a feature film about eight-year-old Sasha, whose family relocates to a new home on Vancouver Island in the late 1990s, a fresh start interrupted by the increasingly dangerous behavior of her eldest brother Jeremy. At wit's end, the parents are presented with a shattering choice. Director Sophy Romvari's feature debut chronicles the haze of a languid summer and the moments that defined it. Eylul Guven, Amy Zimmer, Iringo Reti, Edik Beddoes and Adam Tompa appear in it.

Critics
7.4Very good
Critics praise the film's delicate handling of memory, its visually striking imagery, and its deeply moving emotional power. Some fault an emotional distance created by the fragmented structure, which can leave the brother feeling underdeveloped and the viewer detached.
