"Echo on a Pane" is an exhibition of new paintings by Danielle Roberts, running from November 12 to December 23, 2026 at Fredericks & Freiser. Her figures move through familiar places of need and want in the late hours, increasingly subordinated to larger structures of light, atmosphere, and surface. Glass in the form of storefronts, aquariums, and mirrors becomes the central vehicle, layering reflection, transparency, and glare so a figure may appear behind a pane, on its surface, and within its reflection at once. These layered spaces act as thresholds where crossing offers no guarantee of change.
