About

A talk at the Jewish Museum in its Scheuer Auditorium, part of the Dialogue and Discourse series and the Gertrude and David Fogelson Lecture. It is a conversation between Elana Shapira, a cultural and design historian and lecturer at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, and Lisa Silverman, Professor of History and Jewish Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. They will discuss the role of Jewish women and patrons in supporting the growth and success of the Wiener Werkstätte from its founding in turn of the century Austria, in connection with the museum's special exhibition "Modernity and Opulence: Women of the Wiener Werkstätte."
