About

"Line Call" is a solo exhibition of photographs by Eileen Quinlan, opening at Miguel Abreu Gallery and running through October 31, 2026. It is her eighth one-person show at the gallery and spans twenty years of her work. The show is animated by the unruly drama of memory: old images, including snapshots of friends, family, and intimate spaces, are recalled to perform new tasks alongside works being shown for the first time, with the artist's archive open and displayed. Counterpointing her heavily processed digital works, these "private" images are shown untouched, printed and mounted without alteration, structured by the recurrence of lines that act as roving indicators, creating containers or pointing beyond the frame.
