About
Heartbeat Opera's 'Queeney Todd: The Demon Bottom of Fleet Street' is the company's 11th Annual Drag Opera Extravaganza, a fusion of drag, opera, and theatre at Judson Memorial Church. Written and created by Kemar Jewel, Jacob Ashworth, Peregrine Teng Heard, and Garrett Bell, with arrangements by Daniel Schlosberg, it is directed and choreographed by Kemar Jewel. It tells a twisted tale of revenge: when Queeney Todd returns to London after a decade, he is hellbent on payback, drawing opera's greatest divas, villains, and f*ckboys into a whirlwind of camp, couture, and carnage. No one is safe from the barber's blade.
