About
It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is a Broadway play staged as a 1940s radio broadcast, complete with a foley artist and holiday carols. Joe Landry adapted the story from Philip Van Doren Stern's 'The Greatest Gift' and the 1946 film, and Jerry Zaks directs the Broadway premiere. The story follows George Bailey, who looks back on his life and its impact just before Christmas comes, with his guardian angel Clarence showing him what life would be like without him. The cast includes Andrew Rannells as George Bailey, Megan Hilty as Mary Bailey, Tituss Burgess as Clarence, Harry Hamlin as Mr. Potter, and Lisa Rinna as Violet.
