About

Jeffrey Meris is a talk by the multidisciplinary artist of that name, part of the Talks series of lectures presented by MFA Fine Arts. Meris, born in 1991 and raised in the Bahamas, makes work that engages the relationship between materiality and larger cultural and social phenomena. His works shown on the event page include the sculpture To the Rising Sun, made of stainless steel and underarm crutches, and X, made of fang, copper-plated steel and pearls. The talk is free and open to the public, with Q&A participation limited to MFA Fine Arts students attending in person; it is also held on Zoom.
