About
An artist's talk in the Talks lecture series, free and open to the public, also accessible online via Zoom. It features Adebunmi Gdadebo, an artist who earned her BFA at the School of Visual Arts and lives and works in Philadelphia. Her multidisciplinary practice explores heritage through historically and culturally significant materials such as indigo dye, human hair collected throughout the African diaspora, and soil hand-dug from the True Blue Plantation grounds in South Carolina, investigating the complex relationships between land, matter, and memory.
