About

An exhibition of more than seventy works by the American artist Martin Puryear, spanning sculptures in wood, glass, marble and cast bronze alongside rarely shown drawings and prints. Co-organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and The Cleveland Museum of Art, it traces Puryear's explorations of form, material and process since the 1960s, including works from his 2019 Venice Biennale presentation. The show illuminates his engagement with material culture, natural history, craft traditions and African American history.
