About

Monthly Jazz Jam: Honoring Military Veteran Musicians is a jazz jam session at which musicians play together, honoring military veteran musicians through artists like John Coltrane, Tony Bennett, Glenn Miller, Josephine Baker, Harry Belafonte, and B.B. King. Flushing Town Hall's Monthly Jazz Jams are open to professional jazz musicians, students of jazz, music educators, and serious hobbyists. The sessions are led every month by Carol Sudhalter, joined by Joe Vincent Tranchina on piano, Eric Lemon on bass, and Scott Neumann on drums, and musicians are encouraged to bring a copy of their sheet music. Those who don't play but love jazz are welcome to come and listen.
